Honda intends to ramp up production of the Mexican made Accord in 2008, executives stated in a rare interview. The plant which first opened in 1995 has a decent track record for its vehicles. Located in El Salto the plant enjoys the ability to market small vehicles to several areas. On a brief tour of the plant we were required to leave our cameras in the main lobby behind the desk, no problems with that. Our advisor Choi fi Broki gave us what turned out to be a reasonable tour. We observed several of the employees performing in a very diligent manner. Along the trim line the Honda workers are given free refreshments and allowed to periodically "sub" out with a standby coworker. One thing we noticed was the impeccable resistance of these little people. It was truly amazing to see them in action. We had the opportunity to walk along the chassis line. To our amazement we found again an elaborate refreshments table located at the beginning and end of the line, complete with Shrimp fried rice, pork fried rice, and ginger scented mystery meat. Once at the final line, we observed some of the workers listening to American music. It was definitely an amusing site, as the little Asians sang "Do wat to me one mo time, once is never eruff wif a girl rike you." To our amazement, these little folks have come along way since the near elimination of their society during WW2. We must give credit where credit is due, good luck to the little people, and good luck with the Mexican made Accords. Visit us next week as we tour the Honda owned Chinese plastics sweat shop in China.

Readers respond to my review of the Honda Accord: "I remember the Accords from the '80s and '90s: great small sedans that were sporty, fuel-efficient and reliable.
